Maple Lawn Mission
Our mission is to transform the early learning environment through delivering and nurturing the child to inspire an enduring love for learning that prepares the children to be responsible, caring citizens, contributing peace, and be compassionate to society.

The Driving Force
After toiling laboriously to integrate into higher education, we felt that the best approach to bridge the gap between what is being taught and the needs of the learner was to implement tactile learning.
Years of Teaching
Maple Lawn Montessori of Laurel grew out of a desire for teaching.
After toiling laboriously to integrate into higher education, we felt that the best approach to bridge the gap between what is being taught and the needs of the learner was to implement tactile learning. This idea was not the result of a dream but an appetite to rejuvenate the present system of education, which has several lacunae. It was a desire to provide a learning platform that gave children in their founding age complete independence over their learning environment.
As true educators, our legacy has ceaselessly encompassed Experience, Expertise, and Education, thus, delivering top-notch service with excellence since 1952. Our entire approach toward children’s overall growth and wellness was designed and developed by well-experienced experts.
Our Mentors come from a family of well-established and experienced educators. We want to sculpture the existing teaching methodology to make it more suited to the learner of the 21st century.
In our quest, we are joined by a team of experienced educators from various parts of the globe contributing to Maple Lawn’s Hybrid Contemporary Education.

Director
Tobie Chrisman
Hello, my name is Tobie Chrisman. I am the proud mother of three grown children. I have been in childcare for 13 year and counting. As a caregiver I believe I am a major player in a child’s social and emotional development, and I take that role very seriously. Creating a safe environment for children means that I have to make sure they are emotionally and socially secure. By this I mean that the children are nurtured and provided only opportunities to succeed and experience joy, warmth, curiosity, reward and praise. This is the area that adults can fail a child, and this is the area where my personal parental philosophies were confirmed by my CDA and other education.

What Parents Say About Our School
Fantastic Care
Maple Lawn at Manassas Park has been fantastic for our family so far. A friendly and well trained staff led by Breanna, Miss Jeaneth , and Miss Sylvia have been amazing with our twins and incredibly understanding and accommodating with my wife and I during these tough times. We feel very safe with our twins at Maple Lawn as they have many health policies in place. We love Maple Lawn and would recommend to anyone!
